5 star review! This week I had an opportunity to get certified in wilderness first aid through the Center for Wilderness Safety. I cannot speak highly enough of this course, these instructors, and the curriculum. I had high expectations, and what I experienced surpassed everything I imagined. I learned so much. I got resources. I practiced skills. I played outside.I’m hoping to go for the next level soon.
Just wrapped up Wilderness First Aid with CWS, and I was blown away by the content and experiential learning. Can’t wait to learn more from the Center for Wilderness Safety! There’s so much content to read in their text book and further courses to sign up for. I definitely recommend this organization to everyone.
Both my son and I took the CPR/AED class followed by the Wilderness First Aid Course this past weekend in preparation for our Philmont trek next year. Great class with a great instructor…so much pertinent information that was well presented. We left with a good understanding of the subject and materials for any after-class review or reference. An awesome organization that provides service beyond just the classes. We certainly will be back.
GREAT organization! I’ve been taking courses and hosting courses with CWS for 6 years now and they offer AMAZING courses! Their curriculum, testing and staff are AWESOME! Definitely highly recommend them for anyone looking for training and certification in wilderness medicine.
CWS is the best place to learn wilderness first aid. Period. Not only do the instructors know everything about the most recent protocols in wilderness safety, they also know how to teach and teach well (the ratio of lecture to skills practice is superb!). The staff’s enthusiasm and dedication to making sure you leave their course with the toolbox of knowledge and confidence to act is second to none. I would, with no hesitation, recommend CWS to anyone looking to advance their skills in wilderness safety (and have already done so!).
